For the
Present Life
In my teens and twenties, I believed health and the absence of disease were synonymous. I also believed exercise could single-handedly prevent disease, cure disease, improve health, and maximize performance. "By chance"—or what I refer to as divine intervention—I stumbled upon 1 Timothy 4:8, which states, physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. In an instant, God told me everything that I needed to know. And it created a huge shift in my approach to health care.
God promised to give us life in abundance (John 10:10). Seek that abundance until you obtain exponentially more in terms of your relationships, knowledge, income, and health! Because the mere absence of disease is not enough. It is my purpose—in this present life—to build a health care system that will grow the Body of Christ according to 1 Timothy 4:8 and John 10:10.
For the
Life to Come
God promised to give us life in abundance (John 10:10), and I encourage you to seek that life. However, in all your seeking, make knowledge of God your highest priority because the life to come is eternal and depends on that relationship. In an ideal world, health care systems would focus its efforts on helping patients improve their relationships, increase their knowledge, and multiply their income on their way to optimizing their health. Currently, advancing my knowledge in spiritual and physical health is my highest priority.
There is power in being a member of the Body of Christ. I want that power for you just as much as I want it for myself. I invite you to join me in developing a deeper understanding of God.
Therefore, I am dedicated to sharing my current and future knowledge, in order to build the Body of Christ...1 Workout at a Time.
Building the
Body of Christ
Our health care system is extremely impressive at long-term disease management and pulling patients from the brink of death to sustain life, making it skewed toward reactive medicine. But what about the patient that does not need immediate, life saving interventions and seeks to prevent disease and optimize their health, fitness, and/or performance over their entire lifespan?
Building the Body of Christ, from my perspective, combines Christian belief with the sports sciences to address health care from the opposite end of the health care continuum. I believe this focus will improve health outcomes, as my methodology focuses on prevention strategies that maximize health and optimize performance. In addition, this focus will improve our health care system. As I expand my knowledge of proactive health care and Christian leadership, I hope to also expand the current system, to give patients a health care system that is the complete, picture of perfection.
